Following the success of the Motorola Moto X flagship, the Google-owned company took a step forward by releasing a look-a-like budget smartphone – Motorola Moto G. Unlike the Moto X, the Moto G comes with a slightly smaller display as well as a downgraded quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz – which is already explained by its $200 price tag. Prerequisites before you begin rooting Motorola Moto G

 

1. Please make sure the Moto G has at least 80% battery level.
2. Please make sure you have unlocked the Moto G’s bootloader. If you have not done so, then visit this page on how to unlock Moto G bootloader. However, doing so will wipe out your device.

 

Follow the steps below on how to root Motorola Moto G

 

1. Download the Superboot r2 file ( Download link is at the first post of the thread ).
2. Extract the Superboot r2 file to a folder on your desktop.
3. Boot the Moto X into bootloader mode. This can be done by first turning off your device, and then turn it on by pressing both the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for a moment.
4. Next up, go to the extracted folder which you have created back in Step 2. Right-click on the superboot-windows.bat file and run it as administrator.
5. Wait for a few minutes while it begin rooting Moto X.
6. Once done, reboot your device.
7. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Motorola Moto X!
